Required Information
- Insulation thickness
Formulas and Measurements
- Using that measurement, swing an arc to form Cut-line A Multiply the O.D. of the small pipe (insulation included) by Pi, and then divide by 2 and then add one inch.
- Label this Multiply the O.D. of the large pipe (insulation included) by Pi and then divide by 2, and then add one inch.
- Label this Draw a line from Point 1 to Point 2 and divide that line into two equal parts.
- This point is Apex B Set dividers from the Apex B point to number 1 and draw an arc to number 2 to form Cut-line B
Procedure
- Step 1
Draw a 90 degree angle
- Step 2
Square the fitting from weld to weld using a framing square. Using that measurement, swing an arc to form Cut-line A
- Step 3
Multiply the O.D. of the small pipe (insulation included) by Pi, and then divide by 2 and then add one inch. Mark this measurement on the vertical line, using Cut-line A as a starting point. Label this
- Step 4
Multiply the O.D. of the large pipe (insulation included) by Pi and then divide by 2, and then add one inch. Mark this measurement on the horizontal line using Cut-line A as a starting point. Label this
- Step 5
Draw a line from Point 1 to Point 2 and divide that line into two equal parts. Label that division
- Step 6
At Point 3 draw a 90 degree line perpendicular to Line 1 -2 to an intersecting point on the extended vertical line. This point is Apex B
- Step 7
Set dividers from the Apex B point to number 1 and draw an arc to number 2 to form Cut-line B
